1.       Tulsi (Holy Basil) :-

It is the most commonly found herb in Indian households. There are three variaties of tulsi like Rama tulsi, Krishna tulsi and Vana tulsi that can be consumed for different health benefits. Tulsi helps in relieving lung related diseases like asthma, bronchitis, congestion, flu… etc. These is strong disinfectant and germicidal factors are not the only reason why tulsi is great herbs for boosting your immunity. Recent studies have indicated that tulsi can help slow down the growth of HIV cells and also inhibit development of certain carcinogenic cells. Tulsi also contains a lot of antioxidants and micronutrients, which helps your immune system by protecting it from damage caused by free radicals.

2.       Turmeric :-

Turmeric is said to be one of the most effective ayurvedic herb as it has bioactive compounds with medicinal properties. It is very commonly used in India as a spice as well as an ayurvedic herb. Lipopolysaccharide – a substance in turmeric with anti-bacterial, anti-viral and anti-fungal agents helps stimulate the human immune system. Take a teaspoon of the spice powder in a glass of warm milk daily and you’ll see it work wonders as it reduces your chances of catching a flu.

3.       Giloy (Tinospora Cordifolio) :-

The ability of giloy to treat a myriad of diseases says that it is high in nutritional content. It is abundant in alkaloids. Other bio-chemical substances found in giloy are steroids, flavonoids, lignants, carbohydrates and so on. Due to its high nutrient content, giloy is used to manufacture many herbal, ayurvedic and modern medicines. Boosting immunity is the first and the most important benefit of giloy. It can rejuvenate the body too. Giloy contains anti-oxidant properties that improve health and fight dangerous diseases. 4.       Ashwagandha (Withania Somnifera) :-

Ashwagandha is an evergreen herb that grows in India, the Middle East, and parts of Africa. The name ashwagnadha describes the smell of its root like a horse. Ashwagandha  is a shrub and extract or powder of its roots and leaves are used for various purposes. It can reduce blood sugar levels, cortisol levels, symptoms of depression and inflammation.
